FAQs

  1. Are my physiotherapy services covered under OHIP/Private Health Insurance?
No. We are a private clinic and can not bill OHIP or any other personal extended health care benefits plan. Upon payment for your services, we will provide you with a detailed receipt for you to submit to your benefit plan.
  2. Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No, we do not require a referral from your doctor to see us. Your extended health care provider may required you to have one when submitting your claim to them. You will be responsible for submitting all your receipts to them for reimbursement.
  3. What is dry needling?
It is a technique which uses a “non injection style needle” inserted into myofascial trigger points to deactivate and resolve those trigger points in the muscle. The increase in muscle length following the needling technique increases mobility and reduces pain.
  4. What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapists test and measure the functioning of the musculo-skeletal, neurological, pulmonary, and cardiovascular systems. They also treat physical problems caused by illness, injury or birth defect. While much of physiotherapy is rehabilitation from injury, physiotherapists prefer to practice preventative health care.
  5. How long is the wait to get your first appointment with our therapists?
You can expect to wait 2 to 3 weeks for your initial assessment.
